This policy explains how Speed Capital B.V. ("Speed Capital", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit speed-capital.com or contact us. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
- Contact data you give us when you email us or book a call: name, email address, company, job title, phone number and the content of your message.
- Business relationship data when we discuss or carry out an engagement: details of you and your organisation, and information needed for identity or compliance checks where the law requires them.
- Website data: technical information such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and referring site, collected through our website platform and cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, and we ask you not to send them to us.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiries and arrange meetings: our legitimate interest in responding to business contacts, or steps you ask us to take before entering into an agreement.
- To deliver our advisory services and manage the client relationship: performance of a contract.
- To meet legal and tax obligations, such as record-keeping and, where applicable, client due diligence: legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and understand how it is used: our legitimate interest, or your consent where cookies require it.
- To measure visits from LinkedIn and understand which companies show interest in our services: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Squarespace (website hosting and analytics), Calendly (meeting scheduling), Google (Google Workspace email and the fonts on this website), Microsoft (Outlook and Teams), Box (document storage and sharing) and Notion (internal workspace).
- LinkedIn, if you accept marketing cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality.
- Counterparties to a transaction, only with your agreement or where it is part of the engagement.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers, such as Squarespace, Calendly, Google, Microsoft, Box, Notion and LinkedIn, may process data in the United States. Where this happens we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Business contacts (such as investors, developers and advisers): for as long as the business relationship is active. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
- Client, transaction and due diligence records: 7 years after the engagement ends, in line with Dutch tax and record-keeping rules.
- Website and cookie data: as described in our Cookie Policy.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To use these rights, email i.t@speed-capital.com. We will respond within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access.
